Pets have become not only our companions but also part of our
families.
When I adopted my two cats, Cuddles and Ching, there was no
question that they were going to be indoor cats. After a few months
with the two new loves in my life, it looked to me as if the only
excitement they had was when I came home at night and played with
them. When I came to the front door I always felt like a goalie
trying to block their escape. I noticed that their favorite spot was
by the window. I did not want to let them go outside because of
the dangers to both them and other animals. Also, I know that I would
be worried the minute they were out of my view!
Living in a rental unit I was faced with the challenge to find
something that would not interfere with other tenants, and that I could
take with me when I moved. I also needed a product that would stand
the test of time. I tried to find something that would help solve this
dilemma, but I had a difficult time finding an enclosure that was
functional, versatile and attractive.
I designed and made an enclosure that would blend into the backyard
and make it easy to disassemble. By attaching it around my window, the
cats can access the enclosure all on their own. After a week, I was
amazed at the energy they both had. The fight at the front door is now
gone and they even lost a few pounds! I don’t have to worry about
them, and they get to exercise and explore all they want.
The Cat’s Den enclosures were developed not only to allow a safe
way for your cat to explore the outdoors but also to be attractive in
your yard. The enclosures are limited only by your imagination and are
designed to expand so they can fit any budget, and even grow from year
to year. The Cat’s Den has made many cats and owners very happy over
the years and we are looking forward to being able to bring some
safety and happiness to your household. We are now bringing the same freedom and safety to other companion pets with Habitat Haven.
